Ian and Carmen's Big Screen Road Trip
Privacy notice
Effective September 2, 2026
This website tells the story of Ian and Carmen's Big Screen Road Trip. It is built to collect as little information about its visitors as possible, and this page explains the little it does touch.
What this site does not do
- No analytics or tracking cookies of any kind.
- No advertising, and no advertising partners.
- No visitor accounts, sign-up forms, comments or newsletters.
- No sale or sharing of personal information, ever.
What is processed
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, briefly processes standard technical records (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages securely and keep the site running. We do not use these records to identify visitors.
- A team sign-in cookie. If a member of the road trip crew signs in to update the journey, a session cookie keeps them signed in for up to 30 days. Visitors never receive it. It is strictly necessary for that sign-in and is used for nothing else, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
- A small setting on your device. The site remembers on your own device that you have seen the opening animation, so it does not replay. This never leaves your device.
- Email and phone links. The contact card opens your own email or phone app. Anything you send reaches us as an ordinary message, used only to reply.
Service providers
The site runs on Vercel (hosting and content delivery), with journey content stored in Neon (database) and photography and film in Vercel Blob storage. These providers process data on our behalf to run the site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. Because this site keeps almost nothing, there is usually nothing to retrieve, but we will always help: write to roadshow@fandango1.com and we will respond.
Children
The site is a general audience travelogue and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If the site ever starts doing more than described here, this notice will be updated first and the date above will change.
