The people and places of cinema

Fandango1

A celebration of cinemas across all 50 states over eight months, honoring the places, people and shared experience that bring America together. Where cinemas, the people who run them and their audiences take center stage.

The final stage

Every cinema is more than a building. It is the final stage of filmmaking, where the director's vision completes its journey and reaches the audience. Cinemas are custodians of the filmmaker's vision. The care given to presentation, sound, projection, service and atmosphere determines how that vision is finally experienced.

When the lights go down and the screen comes alive, an audience laughs, gasps and feels together. The Fandango1 Road Show celebrates these remarkable places and the people who protect that experience.

Every kind of cinema

From historic single-screen venues and art houses to family circuits, cinemas offering food and drink, regional operators and major chains, every kind of cinema deserves its moment in the spotlight. The route is built to find them: at least one overnight in every state, and every cinema visit with a night in the same town.

A celebration of America

The journey will also celebrate America itself. From coastlines and small towns to great cities and national parks, it will capture the extraordinary variety of the country and reveal the experience that connects it.

Wherever we come from, we still gather in the dark, look towards the same screen and feel something together.

  • The journey. Eight months. Fifty states. At least one hundred cinema visits, an average of two per state. Key West to CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
  • The story. Interviews at every stop. Weekly stories and sound bites. Six professionally filmed chapters. One hero film for CinemaCon, and a lasting library of voices, insights and human moments to share throughout the year.

More than a launch

This is more than a product launch. It is a living celebration of cinemas and the people who make them matter. The invitation is open: open a door, nominate a cinema, introduce a voice. Help make this a celebration the whole industry can see itself in and be proud to share.
